SPRING MUSE: Compote -- Sunday 22 September
Sunday 22 September 2024
9am–2pm · 276 Tikorangi Road East, Tikorangi
Come lose yourself in our unbelievably beautiful seas of spring flowers. Wander our flower farm and flushing tunnels, and let the field inspire your arrangements. We'll talk harvesting flowers, arranging flowers, and generally just talk flowers and have way too much fun!
We'll start the day talking colour, form and how we let the flowers we grow lead our designs. Then we'll head out and start searching the field for all our favourite flowers to harvest. We'll bring the flowers back to our harvest shed and get started arranging your very own spring compote full of all the layers and layers of spring's flowery flowers. We'll take a break for lunch, before finishing off, and photographing your finished arrangements.
Oh Flora's Compote is my absolute favourite vessel to arrange flowers in. It is pretty much the only vessel I have unpacked from our shift three years ago, as I don't need anything else! You'll get to take home your very own Shell Compote at the end.
Whether this is your first arrangement or your hundredth, there is nothing quite like losing yourself to the flowers as you soak in the moment, handpick and arrange.
Lunch plus tea, coffee and cake is included.
