SCABIOSA ATROPURPUREA · PINCUSHION FLOWER

Possibly my favourite coloured scabiosa, this deep merlot red with hints of purple in it's undertones, just blends with everything! Beautifully lightly scented it also forms textural cone seedheads after flowering.

Please note, we have a minimum plant order of $45 (approx. 5 plants) – you can mix & match any plants to meet the minimum.

Our plant boxes can fit up to 10 plants per box.

Ideal Location: Full Sun

Spacing: 30cm

Height: 90cm+

Overwintered plants will need much more support than spring planted plants, as they will get soo much bigger.

Flowers are best harvested rather tight, when the first outer ring of petals has only just started opening, and the centres are still tight. Flowers will shatter if harvested after they are fully open.
