LUNARIA ANNUA

A mottled dark foliaged, magenta purpled flowering variety of lunaria. Extending its season of interest in the garden significantly longer compared to the regular green foliaged lunaria.

Leaves are darkest in full sun, especially if they're leaning a little dry. Plants also produce opalescent seed pods like regular lunary.

*Note lunaria are biennials, we ourselves have sown/planted this late and had them flower their first late spring, but there is a chance they may not flower or fully flush until the following spring.

Please note, we have a minimum plant order of $45 (approx. 5 plants) – you can mix & match any plants to meet the minimum.

Our plant boxes can fit up to 10 plants per box.

Plant orders are shipped on Mondays (& Tuesdays).

Lunaria annua

Ideal Location: Partial Shade / Full Sun

Spacing: 30cm

Height: 70cm+

Lunaria flower best if they have gone through winter as reasonably established plants. If they do not flower their first spring, they will put on a great display the following year.

Harvest when pods are starting to dry and can be easily rubbed off to reveal their seeds & opal casings.
