Sweet Pea - Windsor

Seeds

Sale price$7.00
LATHYRUS ODORATUS

One of my original go-to very productive, great for cutting sweet pea varieties. Lovely deep dark burgundy.

Summer flowering.

APPROX 8 SEEDS - GROWN BY US!

Note: Windsor has a harder seed coat than other seeds, we recommend giving seeds a quick sand/rub with sandpaper (or carefully make a small nick with a knife) to help water break through the harder coating. Then soak in warm water until the seeds are swollen before sowing. Take care not to soak too long, making sure to check on them at least twice a day.

Autumn to Late Winter

How to Sow:
Direct Sow (or Transplant without disturbing roots)

Light & Cover Requirements:
COVER (needs darkness)

Slow (10–21 days)

Winter & Spring flowering Sweet Peas are best sown in autumn, whilst Summer flowering varieties are best sown just after the shortest day.

Hardy Annual

Full Sun

Sweet peas will need something to climb to be their best selves. Quails love their tender young shoots, so if you have them around sweet peas will need some sort of protection until they are really up and starting to climb out of their reach.
