Sweet Pea - Shell Pink
Plants
Shell Pink is another complete standout variety bred by NZ's Keith Hammett.
It fast become one of my new top favourite varieties with it's unique warm soft shell pink flowers, rosy stems, and absolutely insane abundance of flowers!
Flowers and stems are smaller than other sweet peas, but they absolutely make up for it in the sheer abundance of flowers. If cutting, you can just harvest longer vines rather than individual stems if you need the stem length. Summer flowering.
Note: our sweet pea plants are a little on the smaller side, but they are just starting to branch out and on the verge of their spring growth spurt. They will last a couple or so more weeks in their pots, but they will be their best selves if planted soon. Make sure not to disturb their roots as much as possible when planting. Our sweet peas have been grown outside so should be hardened to similar mild climates like ours, but we have had to cover them with mikroclima to keep our quails off them which has seen the odd spots form on older leaves, but we've found that is reasonably normal for older sweet pea leaves, and so long as they're actively growing they'll outgrow it in no time.
Please note, we have a minimum plant order of $45 (approx. 5 plants) – you can mix & match any plants to meet the minimum.
