Scabiosa - White Blush

A special scabiosa variety I've been saving seeds off for a few years.

I'd never been a fan of the Snowmaiden white scabiosa variety as its flowers were a little too cream white, small flowers, and perhaps a tad too wispy of a stems. So I when I spotted a delightfully blushy white scabiosa, with good sized flowers in a mix I'd grown, I excitedly isolated that plant and have been saving seeds off it for a few years now.

Saving seeds off it always got bumped off the todo list, but we've babied plants in pots for a year, saved seeds, moved plants around, and this past year we were determined this was the year we were finally going to make saving seeds off it a real priority! Thankfully they have been coming back pretty reliably (perfectly colour-wise, but I did pedantically rogue out some smaller flowered plants to make sure they stay on track this round).

APPROX 25 SEEDS

Note the germination is a bit low, scabiosa has us a little stumped how to actually winnow out the lower quality seeds from the higher quality seeds, (their shuttlecock like casings are very clingy), so each packet contains about enough to double sow to make up for their unsifted overall lower germination.
