Phlox - Cherry Caramel

PHLOX DRUMMONDII
The perfect blending filler flower for all autumnal toned designs with varying saturations of cherry magenta red centres on pale parchment caramel flowers. Beautifully scented, phlox are surprisingly more versatile than they seem, while they start flowering very quickly on very short stems they consistently continue to flower on longer and longer stems as the season goes on, to very useable stem lengths for bouquets and centrepieces.
Phlox can be a little finicky to germinate but I've consistently found Cherry Caramel to at least always have the fastest, highest germination % and all round best vigour compared to all other colours. I love all the other coloured phlox, but Cherry Caramel is my reliable workhorse.
While they will keep flowering and producing for a few months, succession planting for cut-flower production is recommended as fresh plantings are much more efficient to harvest from once old plantings get into tired thin stemmed tangles.
