Give plants a good hard cut back to encourage them to put out another flush (we often just mow right over our row). Netting or some support can be beneficial, more so in their second year when they're even bigger and better.

If harvesting flowers, make sure to wait until the whole flower has opened, and only harvest in the cooler morning or evening hours of the day, as they can be a little wilt prone when harvested too young or when it's too hot.
