Orlaya - White Lace

ORLAYA GRANDIFLORA

My first favourite flower! When I first started growing flowers, Orlaya quickly won my heart, with it's truly lace-like frills. Doesn't ship well, so it's the perfect flower to set your locally grown flowers & designs apart! Holds best when harvested after the first flower on the stem has just set seed and stems are firm.

Orlaya grow best when started while it's still quite cool, so it's best to sow them in Autumn or Early Spring. 

Can be transplanted carefully if not let get root bound - soil blocks are great for transplanting plants which prefer to be direct sown.
